Ray Tynan - 02 6495 6398

Ray Tynan commenced oyster farming part time in 1979, becoming full time in 1988. Prior to oyster farming Ray was a clerk in the Commonwealth Public Service and a seconday school teacher in Victoria. He has farmed mainly in Pambula Lake and a little in Merimbula Lake. He was a member of the Oyster Research Advisory Committee, the predecessor to the current Aquaculture Research Advisory Committee, for two terms,  and is a member of the NSW Fisheries Research Advisory Board. He was also a Director of the New South Wales Oyster Farmers' Association for some years.

Tony Troup - 02 6559 6678

Tony has owned and operated an oyster farm on the Camden Haven River, on the Mid-North Coast of NSW for 29 years. As well as being a director on the SOCo Board, he is a member of NSW DPI’s Aquaculture Research Advisory Committee, member of the NSW Shellfish Quality Assurance Committee and the NSW representative for the Seafood CRC Oyster Consortium . Tony completed an MSc in Aquaculture in 2001.

John Dawson - 02 6495 6064

John along with his wife Joy have been farming as Currumbene Aquaculture in Pambula Lake since 2002, their son Gregory joined them in 2007. John has been a member of the NSW Food Authority Shell Fish Comittee since 2005 and is the NSW Farmer Representative on ASQAAC. John farms both Sydney Rocks and Angasi, and has found that the selectively bred SRO stock has added great value to his operations, with less loss and larger stock available for sale. Prior to Oyster farming John and Joy owned an Environmental Consulting practice (20years) specialising in monitoring the effects of landuse practices on Water Quality.

Graeme Campbell   - 02 4473 8492

Graeme has been in the industry for 15 years farming oysters in Tuross,Wagonga and Moruya. He is a former industry representative on both the NSW Safe Food committee and the Fishing Industry Training committee.

Jane Clout - 0419 786 631

Jane manages oyster leases in Moreton Bay Queensland. She has operated there over the last 12 years. She represents the Queensland industry as Secretary to the Association, member of the Australian Shellfish Quality Assurance Committee, and representative for the CRC Oyster Consortium.
